A Powhatan woman has been arrested on charges of contempt of court for failing to comply with a court order, according to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
Mickie Jean Regina was taken into custody on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, and booked into the Lawrence County Detention Center. This is the latest in a series of arrests for Regina, who has faced multiple charges in recent months.
Regina was first arrested in early May in Sharp County on theft-related charges. She was later arrested twice in Lawrence County that same month, one of which was related to fraudulent credit card use and theft of property. In June, she was arrested in Lawrence County again, accused of stealing from a farmers' market in Imboden. By mid-July, authorities filed more charges against her for failure to comply with a court order, followed by the most recent arrest in mid-August.
As of Wednesday, Regina remains in custody at the Lawrence County Detention Center awaiting her next court hearing.
