Baxter Health has announced the addition of Dr. William Spencer Grigg, DO, MBA, to its Cardiovascular Clinic, marking the introduction of a dedicated cardiac electrophysiology program in Mountain Home. Dr. Grigg, an electrophysiologist specializing in diagnosing and treating abnormal heart rhythms, will provide advanced care for conditions such as atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias that can significantly impact patients' health and quality of life.

The new program will allow patients who previously needed to travel long distances for specialized cardiac care to obtain treatment closer to home. Dr. Grigg is trained to perform procedures such as catheter ablations, which use minimally invasive techniques to address irregular heart rhythms by correcting abnormal electrical pathways. He is also skilled in implanting pacemakers and defibrillators and offers alternative stroke-reduction solutions like Watchman-type procedures for patients with atrial fibrillation who cannot tolerate blood thinners.
Dr. Grigg completed his residency in internal medicine and a general cardiology fellowship at UCHealth and the University of Colorado. Most recently, in June 2026, he finished an advanced fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Rochester Medical Center, a leading academic health institution. He brings expertise in the latest ablation technologies, including methods that provide precision and often shorter recovery periods.
Patients can expect a patient-centered approach from Dr. Grigg. He emphasizes listening closely, explaining diagnoses clearly, and collaboratively developing treatment plans tailored to individual needs. “I treat patients the way I would want my own family treated,” he said.
Originally from Hickory, North Carolina, Dr. Grigg and his family are eager to settle in Mountain Home, where he joins an experienced cardiovascular team that includes Drs. Timothy Bowen, Michael Camp, Akihiro Kobayashi, Jamon Pruitt, Ernesto Ruiz-Rodriguez, Patrick Tobbia, Otis Warr IV, as well as advanced practice registered nurses Denise Beeson, Leah Fountain, and Debra Wilhite.
