Anna Alexander, ADN, RN, of Baxter Health’s home health department, has received the Heroes with Halos award for her outstanding service in patient care.

The award was presented by Baxter Health President and CEO Ron Peterson, Vice President of Marketing and Communications Tobias Pugsley, Home Health Director Janie Pugsley, and Baxter Health Foundation Executive Director Sarah Edwards, alongside members of the home health staff.

Alexander was nominated by a patient she cared for following a six-day hospital stay. In the nomination, the patient described her as instrumental in their recovery after a critical illness, stating, “I was in the hospital for 6 days with an illness that made me extremely sick and nearly took my life. Anna, from Home Health, came to my house for six weeks and got me through a very tough time. She was super! She even taught my wife how to take care of my IV on the days she wasn’t there. I can’t thank her enough!”

The Heroes with Halos recognition program celebrates the exceptional dedication and compassionate care provided by Baxter Health staff, volunteers, and departments. Information about the program, including how to submit a nomination, can be found on Baxter Health’s website at baxterhealth.org/heroes.
