The Baxter County Library will host a beginner class on Canva, a free online design program, at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17. The session is part of the library's Tech Time series and is aimed at adults looking to learn basic design skills.
Participants will explore how to create graphics, flyers, and social media posts using Canva’s drag-and-drop tools and ready-made templates. The platform runs in a web browser, eliminating the need for downloads or installations. While a free version of Canva is available, the company also offers paid subscription options with additional features.
The class requires registration, which closes at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15. Interested individuals can sign up at the library's website, BaxLib.org/Events. Those unable to secure a spot may join a waitlist, which will notify participants by email if openings occur due to late cancellations. Registrants who are unable to attend are encouraged to cancel their reservation early to accommodate waitlisted attendees.
