Jonesboro, Ark. – Swept Away Janitorial has announced a $22,000 financial commitment to support backpack food programs serving students in multiple Northeast Arkansas school districts during the 2026-2027 academic year.
As part of the pledge, $12,000 will go to the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas to assist programs in the Marion, Riverside, and Pocahontas School Districts. Additional funding will support similar initiatives in the Trumann, Harrisburg, Westside, and Brookland School Districts. The backpack programs provide students with easy-to-prepare, nutritious meals to take home over weekends and school breaks, ensuring access to food when cafeterias are closed.
This marks the second consecutive year Swept Away Janitorial has partnered with districts it serves through its cleaning services to fund these food programs. The company, locally owned and operated, says the initiative reflects its broader commitment to Northeast Arkansas communities, where many of its employees live and work.
