LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) will present the Arkansas Department of Higher Education (ADHE) with $114.3 million for student scholarships at a commemorative event on August 17. The ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the ASL Claim Center, located at 124 W. Capitol Avenue in Little Rock.
ASL Executive Director Sharon Strong will deliver remarks during the event, which is open to the public.
“Alongside the Arkansas Department of Higher Education, we want to celebrate another successful year and highlight one of our largest scholarship fund transfers to date,” Strong said in a statement. “We’re proud to say that each year, our work directly supports thousands of students across the state.”
The $114.3 million raised in fiscal year 2026 marks the second-largest annual total in the lottery’s history, following $129.4 million collected in fiscal year 2024. Milestones for the most recent year included two jackpot-winning Powerball® tickets sold in December 2025 and March 2026. Since its establishment in 2009, ASL has generated more than $1.6 billion in scholarship funding, benefiting more than 873,000 students statewide.
The scholarships, awarded by ADHE, aim to improve access to higher education for Arkansans. Strong emphasized the transformative impact of these awards, saying, “These scholarships create life-changing opportunities for so many students and aspiring professionals in Arkansas.”
