A North Arkansas Electric Cooperative (NAEC) lineman was injured Thursday morning while working in Ozark Acres. According to the cooperative, he was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Little Rock for treatment.
NAEC CEO Mel Coleman expressed gratitude for the swift response of the cooperative's right-of-way crew and local emergency personnel. He also asked the community to join the cooperative’s employees in keeping the injured worker and his family in their thoughts. The cooperative has chosen not to release the employee’s name out of respect for his family.
Coleman emphasized that safety remains a top priority for NAEC employees, adding that the cooperative is committed to improving its safety protocols. He stated that Thursday’s incident would be thoroughly reviewed as part of NAEC's ongoing efforts to enhance worker safety.
