The Izard County Sheriff's Office reported seven arrests last week, with charges spanning domestic battery, drug-related offenses, probation violations, and driving while intoxicated.
According to Sheriff Charley Melton, the following individuals were taken into custody:
- **Samuel Copes**, 23, of Oxford, was arrested on August 4 on charges of domestic battery in the third degree.
- **Evans Elms**, 84, of Melbourne, was arrested on August 5 for violating a protection order.
- **Timothy Strain**, 46, of Cave City, was arrested on August 5 on charges of breaking or entering, criminal mischief, and theft of property.
- **Zachary Clair**, 23, of Waldron, was arrested on August 5 for probation violations stemming from the Izard County Circuit Court.
- **Haley Montgomery**, 47, of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested on August 6 on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug premises.
- **Michael Tolle**, 39, of Searcy, was arrested on August 6 for domestic battery in the third degree.
- **Richard Beaver**, 52, of Oxford, was arrested on August 8 on multiple charges, including driving left of center, careless driving, possessing an open container of alcohol in a vehicle, driving while intoxicated (DWI), and refusing to submit to a chemical test.
Sheriff Melton noted that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
