A high school freshman from Cotter is already making waves on the basketball court. Lily McNutt, a ninth grader at Cotter High School, has received her first college basketball offer. The offer comes from Louisiana Tech University, an NCAA Division I program.

Standing 6 feet 3 inches tall, McNutt plays as a center and has gained the attention of college recruiters with her athletic abilities. While basketball is her primary sport, McNutt is also active in volleyball, softball, and track as part of the Cotter Warriors' athletic program.

The offer reportedly came late last week, marking a significant milestone in McNutt’s young athletic career. Louisiana Tech’s women’s basketball program, known for its competitive history, is among the NCAA’s elite.

McNutt’s early recruitment underscores her potential to compete at a high level, even as she continues her high school athletic journey.
