The Lawrence County Fair pageants are set for today at the Bill McCurley Gymnasium on the Sloan-Hendrix campus in Imboden, beginning at 3 p.m. Doors will open for attendees at 1:30 p.m., according to pageant director Georgia Rattliff. Contestants are expected to arrive early, with a full day of activities planned.
In addition to the pageants, exhibitors for the Educational Building can pre-register today, and cookie jars may be checked in from noon until 4:30 p.m.
Pre-registration for the Educational Building and cookie jar check-ins will resume on Sunday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. During that time, poultry and turkeys can also be brought in for blood testing.
The fair itself kicks off Monday and will run through Saturday at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds in Imboden. Organizers encourage attendees to visit the Lawrence County Fair Facebook page for a complete schedule of events and additional details.
